Preston vs St Albans
Preston posted a solid 251/7 in their allotted 60 overs, with skipper Jake George anchoring the innings with a well-crafted 78. George shared a crucial 100-run partnership with Justin Powick, who contributed a composed 50. Jack Bermingham added late fireworks, smashing 40 off just 23 deliveries.
In reply, Preston’s spinners dominated, making the chase a non-event by regularly picking up wickets. Peter Murrell led the attack with an outstanding spell of 2/46 off 20 overs, while Max Anderson, Luke Marsden, and Justin Powick each claimed two wickets.
Preston now shifts its focus back to the pink ball 50/50 format next week, as the Pirates aim for their highest championship finish this season.

Preston 2nd XI secured a win against local rivals Reed, who posted 189/9. Preston chased down the target in the 39th over with five wickets in hand, thanks to an unbeaten 63 from Lachlan Turner and impressive bowling figures of 4/39 from Oliver Gallimore.
Preston 3rd XI vs Harpenden
Preston 3rd XI made it three wins from three for the club with an 11-run victory over Harpenden. Craig Tennant led the way with a sparkling 55, hitting ten boundaries. He was well-supported by club legend Andrew Riant, who scored 46 and later starred with the ball, taking 3/24
