Preston’s overseas James Doherty’s 76 was the stand-out innings for Preston, holding the batting effort together after several starts failed to develop. North Mymms’ attack shared the wickets well, with Yuvresh Malhotra finishing on 3/40, while Arnav Pimple, Dharmajinh Jhala and Jakob Bhula all took 2 wickets each. In reply, North Mymms reached 175/2 in 25.1 overs, led by Dan Waite’s unbeaten 101 and Nesan Jayaratham’s unbeaten 69. Preston struck through Edward Wharton and Luke Marsden, but North Mymms completed the chase comfortably.

Oscar Dunham Welch top scored with 59, supported by Peter Williamson’s 30 and Oliver Nethercot’s 26. Faheem Shaukat was the pick of the Lutonian bowlers, taking 4/35, while Muhammad Adeel also bowled effectively with 2/30. In reply, Lutonian reached 196/6 in 35.1 overs. Usama Saad’s unbeaten 62 guided the chase, with Zain Hameed adding 35 and Shamas Khan finishing 29 not out. Preston kept themselves in the game through Mark Waters’ 2/43, Bhavin Patel’s 2/29 and Oliver Nethercot’s 2/42, but Lutonian got over the line with 4 wickets remaining.
Preston Third X1 v Lutonian CC
Preston Third X1 won a tense low-scoring game by 2 wickets against Lutonian CC. Chasing 127, Preston reached 130/8 in 38.1 overs, with young-gun Arundeep Natt’s unbeaten 39 proving decisive under pressure. Natt showed great character and responsibility when Preston 3s was down 98-8 with 10 overs to go. Ariful Islam also remained not out on 14 to help finish the chase. Lutonian made Preston work hard for the win, with Hisham Sadiq taking 3/23, while Aayan Mehrab and Faaris Hassan finished with 2/13 and 2/18, respectively. Earlier, Preston’s bowling attack had restricted Lutonian to 126 all out in 34.4 overs. Amit Rajani led the attack superbly with 4/22, while Iain Purton took 2/15, Gurpreet Singh took 2/26 and Ariful Islam took 2/19. Ismael Soban’s 43 was Lutonian’s main resistance, but Preston’s bowling depth set up an excellent chase.
Preston Sunday 1st X1 v Flitwick CC
Preston Sunday 1st X1 won by 36 runs against Flitwick CC. Flitwick won the toss and elected to field, but Preston posted a strong 219/6 from their 40 overs. James Doherty led the way with an excellent 68, while Oscar Dunham Welch’s 58 and Oliver Nethercot’s 31 gave Preston control of the innings. Flitwick’s Reduan Ahmed took 2/49 and Michael Bodo finished with 2/26. In reply, Flitwick reached 183/9 from their 40 overs. Matthew Rippengal’s 61 and Shoaib Rashid’s 62 kept Flitwick in contention, but Preston’s bowling effort held firm. James Doherty completed an outstanding all-round performance with 4/15, while Oliver Gallimore took 2/35. Doherty’s runs and wickets were the defining contribution in a strong Sunday 1st X1 win.
