Preston First XI v North Mymms CC
Preston First XI were beaten by 181 runs against North Mymms CC. Chasing 344, Preston were bowled out for 162 in 35.3 overs. James Doherty top scored with 39, while Edward Wharton added 29 and youngster Oscar Dunham Welch made 24. Joshua Wigginton also struck 20 from 17 balls, but Preston were unable to build the partnerships needed to threaten the target. North Mymms’ attack was led by A. Pimple, who took 5/46, while D. Jhala finished with 3/20 and N. Inpan took 2/28. Earlier, North Mymms had declared on 343/6 from 54 overs after winning the toss and electing to bat. J. Bhula’s unbeaten 152 was the decisive innings, supported by D. Waite’s 64 and N. Jeyaratnam’s 57. Preston’s five bowling wickets were shared by Edward Wharton, Jacob Williamson, Luke Marsden, Jake George and James Doherty, while the other dismissal came through a run out.
Preston Second XI v Lutonian CC
Preston Second XI were beaten by 131 runs against Lutonian CC. Chasing 243, Preston were bowled out for 111 in 41.1 overs. Anthony Ender battled hard for 25 from 94 balls, while William Gallimore made 14 and Oliver Gallimore added 11. Lutonian bowled tightly throughout, with H. Sohail taking 4/16, while M. Haadi and A. Naseeb both finished with 2 wickets each. Earlier, Lutonian had scored 242/7 from their 50 overs after winning the toss and electing to bat. D. Haider led the innings with an excellent 113, supported by U. Saad’s 38 and M. Azib’s 27. There were positives for Preston with the ball, as Mark Waters produced a superb spell of 2/5, while Ariful Islam took 2/49 and Arundeep Natt claimed 1/42.
Preston Third XI v Lutonian CC
Preston Third XI were beaten by 130 runs against Lutonian CC. Chasing 175, Preston were bowled out for 44 in 17.1 overs. Jaydev Jadav top scored with 13, but Preston struggled against a strong Lutonian attack. Y. Masood did the major damage with 5/15, while A. Ahmed, A. Mehrab and H. Mehrab took one wicket each. Earlier, Lutonian had posted 174/9 from their 40 overs after Preston won the toss and elected to field. I. Soban top scored with 39, while H. Dar made 22, H. Farooq added 21 and H. Mehrab finished unbeaten on 21. George Constantinidi was the clear positive for Preston, taking an excellent 4/38 from 8 overs. Andrew Riant also bowled well with 2/16, while Jaydev Jadav took 2/20.
Preston Fourth XI v Potters Bar CC
Preston Fourth XI were beaten by 5 wickets against Potters Bar CC. Preston batted first after Potters Bar won the toss and elected to field, scoring 177/6 from their 40 overs. Harry Fleckney’s maiden half-century was the major positive for Preston, as he finished unbeaten on an excellent 55. Iain Williamson added 25, while Craig Tennant made 17 and Andrew Hedges scored 16. Potters Bar’s bowling was led by L. Tyler, who took 3/37, while S. Patel, A. Bhowmik and M. Sipavicius all took one wicket each. In reply, Potters Bar reached 181/5 in 38.2 overs. A. Bhowmik’s unbeaten 63 guided the chase, supported by J. Shukla’s 45 and L. Tyler’s unbeaten 12. Iain Williamson was the pick of the Preston bowlers with 2/12, while Ian Hamilton, Eoin Doyle and Harry Fleckney all took one wicket each.
Preston Sunday First XI v Harrold CC
Preston Sunday First XI were beaten by 152 runs against Harrold CC. Chasing 237, Preston were bowled out for 84 in 19.1 overs. Oliver Gallimore top scored with 27, while James Doherty made 21, but Preston were unable to recover after losing regular wickets. Harrold’s attack was led by C. Gordon, who took 6/38, while C. Fowler finished with 3/0 from 1.1 overs. Earlier, Harrold was bowled out for 236 off 38.5 overs after winning the toss and electing to bat. P. Kulasinghe led the way with 70, while C. Fowler added 39 and W. Smythe made 22. Preston had some strong individual bowling performances, with youngster Arundeep Natt taking 4/45, while Dillon Beattie and Will Mercer both finished with 2 wickets each. However, Harrold’s total proved well beyond Preston’s reach.
