Opening Weekend Update May 10/11

Preston First X1 beat @hoddesdoncricketclub by 6 wickets in the Championship. An incredible season opener for Preston CC in the Championship as Preston take 25 points in an amazing run chase. Hoddeson finished on a massive 318 for 9 off the 50 overs – Curtis 155 and Arkinstall 99. Preston 322/ 4 with 5 overs to spare. @edwharton637 46 @jackmorecroft 33 @jake_george94 85 @jack_stevens94 87 and @josh_wiggo 52 alongside taking 6/52 with the ball. Not a bad debut Josh!

Two’s lose against @hatfield_hyde by 23 runs. Hyde fell for 194 in 48 overs. Bhav Patel taking 4/48 and @danielplumby making 43 in the chase but Preston fell short for 171 in the 47th.

Three’s lose against @kingslangleycc by 75 runs. KL made 257/4 in 40 overs. Preston fell for 182/9. Langley’s Ashford making 140 not out at No 2. @dillips93 made a defiant 66 – a first 50 for the club – but wasn’t enough.

A young Fourth X1 miss out against @icklefordcricketclub by 5 wickets. Preston all out for 123 with Srini making a decent 60. @icklefordcricketclub made 124/5 in reply to take the 30 points. Both sides fielding debutants in their senior career which is great to see.
