After half term the second half of the season started:

    Preston under 13 vrs Knebworth

On a glorious evening at Knebworth the ten players of Preston took on KPCC. Due to a school game we were a bit depleted and decided to field. Knebworth played positively and aided by some rather poor Preston fielding started to rack up the runs. Four batsman retired as Preston found the going tough as KPCC finished on 173/1 with the only wicket being a run out.

The reply started steadily as Robert (3) look assured but Ewan went early. Push looked good for 3 before being the first of eight players bowled. 9/1 became 19/6 as only Billy with a great boundary looked to be in any form. Guy and Oliver J then hit the ball to take the score to 32 when Olly J fell for a good 10. Guy was last man out on 15 as we finished on 46 all out.

    Preston under 10 vrs Knebworth

24 hrs later and back to KPCC, and the weather was the opposite to the day before. Having to bat first as we only had 6 players again at the start. Harry and Freddie started well and scored 213/1 with Harry scoring 6. Next up Xander and Jacob scored 12/1 with Xander not following on from last weeks great knock, Jacob scored 6. Next up Harry again and Elliott, due to Sam being ill, A good positive partnership of sound running and good shots took us to 245/3 with Harry 8 and Elliott 9. The last pair of the brothers scored 30 for 0 as Arham scored 12 with 18 extras. The innings closing in 275/3.

The bowling was on the top from ball one as we contained KPCC to 211/8 the bowlers beign Harry 1/6 Freddie 2/5 Jacob 2/7 Awad 2/10 Arham 1/10 to record a 64 run victory.

    Preston under 12 vrs Datchworth

Thursday saw the Datchworth boys come to town, batting first Preston got another good start as 12 came in the first 3 overs but with Jack back in the hutch. Olly joined Luke and the score moved to 48 when Luke 31 retired after another excellent knock containing drives and pulls. Jude came and went, Adam and Olly then looked to increase the tempo but Adam was unfortunately run out after a communication breakdown. Olly retired after a six boundary 33 whish saw some great straight shots, The last few overs saw Tom 8 Push 9and Joe 7 run hard to push the score up to 116/6 at the close
The Datchworth reply was all around Ollvie Vitts as he made a excellent 30, but with the others struggling against the varied bowling attack the innings finished on 83/7. Preston wickets coming from Cotterill Williamson Turner Pushan and Jack C, there was a run out for Olly C.

A game of cricket played in great spirit by both teams

    Letchworth under 9 294/1 Preston 241/8

In a reverse of the previous weeks fixture the game was also a reverse as we batted poorly and gave up to many silly wickets, the best partnership being Toby and Nid. Bowling wise we only managed to take one wicket from Harry and drop a few catches.
