Strong display from the 1s this week as @reedcricketclub found the going tough on what was a hot day for all involved – but a huge boost for the 1s in coming out on top.

✅ Preston 2s big win over @ampthilltowncc to win by 6 wickets in Div 5A as Ampthill are all out for 82. Preston in reply 83/4. Wickets from BA @ollieg_94 Jacob, Bhav and Batts.

✅ Preston 3rds win against @southgatecompton_cc Preston posted 145/9 in 40 overs. @hedgeperson 34 Swampy 43 and a Swampy 5for to boot… 8-0-28-5.

❎ Preston 4s v lose against @stmargaretsburycricketclub Preston posted 226/5 off 40 with @mattburleigh71 rolling back the years to score 💯!! With @riantandrew rolling back the years too with a 41 in support and Pete Joiner 43. But a strong St Margs 227/4 chased down in 34th over. Wickets for Preston not easy to come by in the searing 🌞

❎ Sunday 2s (yes, a Sunday Second X1) lost against Aston CC Stevenage but a great game and good to see some of Preston’s younger guns carrying the load and gaining valuable experience.

✅ Very busy week for the junior club too with action in U9 v @reedcricketclub. Reed win by 34 runs + U11 v @wheathampsteadcc. WCC win by 35 runs.
