Cricket Reports – 20/21 August

Preston First X1 emphatically beat Luton Town and Indians CC. LT&I were 88 all out in the 28th over and Preston were two down chasing to win by 8 wickets. Jack Stevens claiming 4/36.

Preston Second X1 beat Hertford for the second time. Hertford won the toss and elected to field but saw Preston rack up 298/3 off their 50 overs. George bigs 84 and a 114 from Jack Morecroft.

The Thirds had a week off, which was nice

The Fourths beat Ickleford by 6 wickets. Ickleford were restricted to 173 all out and Preston chased this down for the loss of 4 wickets. Craig notching up a 79 to cement the innings.

Sunday saw Preston CC field two sides with the First X1 once again beating Luton Town & Indians CC by 20 runs with Nivin chalking up another 100 for the season (109) and Ed in support with 68. Young Jacob Williamson being the pick of the bowlers with 2/35.

The Sunday Second X1 lost to FM Arthurs in a great game where Preston fielded four players from the junior club, Oscar Welch, Oliver Clark, Joey Kelsall and Kanishk Gothandaraman all of whom played brilliantly. Well done Lads. Skinny Williamson top scored with a well made 65.
