Preston’s 2014 season wound down with victories in two delightful friendly matches.

4th place for the Ones, and highest ever league position for the Twos!

A great weekend for Preston as the 1sts finish 4th in Division 2, their highest position since 2005, while the 2nds secured their highest ever placing in the SHCL!

Preston 1st XI finished their SHCL Division 2 campaign with a fine 70 run victory over Cockfosters resulting in an excellent 4th place finish.

Garnham’s 3rd XI Diary 30th Aug

Preston 3’s entertained lowly Hertingfordbury 2’s at Hitchin Boys School. Currently sitting 10th by 1 point, Preston knew that victories in their remaining 2 games would guarantee them a place in the higher league come the end of season restructuring.

As usual, groundsman Pete Bobbins was hard at work trying to locate the square through grass that was nearing the crossbar on the recently erected rugby posts!
